Information about the venue and how to get there.

The weekly lessons are held at Al Kawthar Academy, Leicester, UK.

• Brothers and sisters are seated in separate halls with separate entrances and exits, separate toilet and wudhu facilities.
• Sisters Entrance: Gough Road
• Brothers Entrance: Smith-Dorrien Road

The Academy is located 1.5 miles from the City Centre, with its front entrance (for brothers) on Smith Dorrien Road and its rear entrance (for sisters) on Gough Road. Both roads are side roads off Kitchener Road. Kitchener Road joins Uppingham Road (A47) at the North and Green Lane Road at the South.

For safety reasons we advise sisters to only use public transport during peak hours and not to travel alone.

By Bus

There are two bus stops that are a short walk from the Academy. The first is at Uppingham Road, opposite Uppingham Road Medical Centre, where the 38, 503, 53, 53a, 747, 56 buses stop (stop name: Kitchener Road). Simply walk off Uppingham Road on to Kitchener Road, then Smith Dorrien Road is your second left.

Buses 14, 14a, 10 stop on Green Lane Road (stop name: Rufford Street). Simply walk to the mini roundabout where Kitchener Road and Green Lane Road meet, turn right (if facing with traffic lights to your back), and then Smith Dorrien Road is second on your right,

By Train

The nearest train station to the Academy is Leicester City train station on London Road. The Academy is a 20 minute bus journey (Bus 14a or 54, stopping at Green Lane Road, stop name: Rufford Street). The bus can be caught from directly outside the station on London Road, stop name: RS3.

By Taxi: The Academy is approximately fifteen minutes away from the station. Local taxi firms include Swift Fox Cabs (0116 26 28 222) and A Zoom Taxis (0116 251 1150). The approximate fare will vary between £6 and £8.

By Car

Parking is available on Gough Road, Tithe Street and Robinson Road. Please park safely ensuring you do not block the drives of our neighbours.

Coach services to Leicester arrive at St Margaret's Bus Station. The Academy is around 20 minutes by bus (Bus 14A from the Haymarket Bus Station, stop C10, stopping at Green Lane Road, stop name: Rufford Street) from the Academy.
